Sebastian Winocour, M.D., M.Sc., assistant professor of surgery and director of the Aesthetic Resident Training in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, will lead the new Medical School Specialty Specific Mentor Program. In this position, Dr. Winocour will be responsible for mentoring medical students according to their interests in a specific specialty, and supporting them in building their qualifications for acceptance into a residency program.

Dr. Winocour is a board-certified, fellowship-trained plastic surgeon who specializes in breast cancer reconstruction and aesthetic surgery. He uses the latest techniques in breast reconstruction surgery to help cancer patients achieve their aesthetic goals and restore their emotional well-being. Dr. Winocour also serves as the director of resident aesthetic education in the residency program and serves as a manuscript reviewer for the leading journals in his field, including Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. His research interests focus on breast reconstruction, aesthetic surgery and resident education.
