Pediatric Radiology Fellowship

Texas Children's Hospital
Train at the Heart of Pediatric Imaging

Welcome to the Texas Children's Hospital Pediatric Radiology Fellowship

At Texas Children’s Hospital, you’ll train alongside an exceptional, diverse faculty in one of the world’s premier pediatric medical centers. Our fellowship combines an extraordinary breadth and volume of clinical experience with advanced imaging technology, meaningful research opportunities, multidisciplinary collaboration, and dedicated teaching.

And yes – everything really is bigger in Texas.

Why Texas Children's?

  • Unparalleled clinical volume and variety – Gain experience with an enormous range of routine, complex, and rare pediatric cases across every major imaging modality.
  • Expert faculty and dedicated teachers – Learn from internationally recognized pediatric imaging specialists and advanced pediatric imaging technology experts.
  • Comprehensive pediatric imaging training – Experience ultrasound, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, radiography, neuroradiology, interventional radiology, cardiac CT and MR, fetal ultrasound and MRI, and nuclear radiology.
  • Research that makes an impact – Dedicated academic time, a research coordinator, and an on-staff statistician provide the support to turn your ideas into meaningful scholarship.
  • Multidisciplinary collaboration – Participate in interdepartmental conferences and work alongside specialists across the full spectrum of pediatric and obstetric medicine and surgery.
  • A supportive educational environment – Fellows contribute to resident and medical student education, quality improvement, and research while working closely with a dedicated program director, education committee, and full-time program coordinator.

Train Where Pediatric Care Comes Together

Our fellowship is sponsored by Baylor College of Medicine, with all fellowship rotations taking place at Texas Children’s Hospital.

Our main medical center campus is located in the Texas Medical Center, the world’s largest medical complex. The campus brings together two major inpatient hospitals – the West Tower and Legacy Tower – along with the Pavilion for Women and Mark Wallace Tower outpatient center.

Together, these facilities provide access to virtually every pediatric and obstetric medical and surgical subspecialty under one roof.

Fellows can also benefit from the expertise and resources of Texas Children’s community hospitals in Katy and The Woodlands.

A Fellowship Built Around Breadth

Your training will span the full spectrum of pediatric radiology. Fellows rotate through:

  • Ultrasound
  • CT
  • MRI
  • Fluoroscopy
  • Radiography
  • Neuroradiology
  • Interventional Radiology
  • Cardiac CT and MR
  • Fetal Ultrasound and MRI
  • Nuclear Radiology

Call is structured around a night-float system for overnight coverage, supplemented by evening in-house coverage and pager call for procedures.

Beyond clinical training, fellows participate in multidisciplinary conferences, teach residents and medical students, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and pursue research.

Continue Your Training with Advanced Fellowship Opportunities

For those seeking additional subspecialty expertise, Texas Children’s offers four second-year fellowship positions in:

  • Pediatric Neuroradiology
  • Pediatric Cardiac Radiology
  • Pediatric Musculoskeletal Radiology
  • Pediatric Interventional Radiology

All four advanced fellowships are accredited by the Texas Medical Board.

A Place to Learn – and Live

Texas Children’s offers the intensity and sophistication of a world-class academic medical center in one of the country’s most culturally diverse cities.

Houston combines an extraordinary medical community with a vibrant international culture, outstanding food, and nearly year-round warm weather.

Come for the cases. Stay for the people. Build the expertise to become a leader in pediatric imaging.
