Memorial Hermann - The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR) is one of the top five rehabilitation facilities in the country. TIRR focuses on providing care to individuals who have experienced catastrophic injuries or illnesses.
Education
TIRR is a major training site for the Baylor College of Medicine Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency training program. Approximately 50 percent of TIRR attending physicians are Baylor faculty. The professionals at TIRR take a comprehensive approach to improving the lives of people with disabilities by delivering outstanding clinical care, training the next generation of practitioners, and supporting cutting-edge research programs.
Research
Mission Connect at TIRR is a unique collaboration of five medical institutions of which Baylor is an important participant. Mission Connect provides investigators with the resources to conduct basic research focused on reversing the consequences of spinal cord injury, brain injury, and neurological disorders.
