Baylor College of Medicine is pleased to announce a new student service now available for online transcript ordering and electronic transcript delivery.
Students and alumni have two options for requesting official transcripts: by written request or online.
Ordering by Written Request
Transcript requests may be initiated by downloading and completing a Transcript Request Form. A handwritten signature is required. There is no charge for this method and orders will be processed in 1-2 business days. Completed and hand signed forms may be:
1. Emailed to: email@example.com
2. Faxed to: (713) 798-1518
3. Mailed to: One Baylor Plaza, Office of the Registrar, DeBakey M-210.
As described below, the more convenient and recommended method is to use Parchment, Inc., the online provider chosen by Baylor College of Medicine to provide secure electronic transcript delivery. Transcript requests initiated online are typically processed within one business day. There is a $3 convenience fee for transcripts requested through Parchment, Inc at the time of the order (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover).
Current students should request transcripts through their CAMS student portal account: Currently enrolled students are encouraged to initiate transcript requests using the CAMS student portal. After you login, select the Order Transcript link and follow the instructions provided.
Former students should request transcripts through BCM’s unique Parchment, Inc. storefront. Access BCM Parchment online storefront to create an account and order an academic transcript. Electronic transcripts can be processed for students who attended after 1980. Please note, electronic transcripts are not available for students in the Preceptorship in the Health Sciences program prior to 2006.
No matter the request method used, a transcript will not be released until all financial and/or administrative obligations to the College have been satisfied. Transcripts may either be sent immediately or after the current semester's final grades or degrees are posted. Processing times may be extended during peak demand times such as end-of-semester. The Federal Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) requires a signature to release a transcript and both Parchment and Baylor College of Medicine require a release to be on file.
Electronic Delivery Option of Your Transcript
During the online order you will be instructed to identify the recipient of your transcript.
Electronic Transcripts are delivered through a secure web application. You will be notified when the transcript is sent and also when it is received.
Electronic delivery is possible through Parchment's established network of more than 5,000 certified receivers or to any individual if you provide their email address.
Other Delivery Methods
If your transcript cannot be delivered electronically it will be sent by U.S. first class mail. You will be provided the option to use express postal delivery methods; additional postage fees will apply. You may request to pick-up your transcript at the Registrar’s office (it will be stamped “Issued to Student”).
Other Important Information
Transcripts will not be processed on behalf of students who have any financial obligation or other types of holds to the university. Current students may print student transcripts through the CAMS student portal. Former students and alumni may request unofficial requests through the Registrar’s Office.
A student/former student may receive an unofficial transcript by visiting the Office of the Registrar. To receive a transcript, you must not have an outstanding balance on the student account. This transcript will be identified as one "Issued to Student."
Requests must include the following:
- Name (include previous name if change occurred)
- Date of birth
- Last month and year of attendance
- Academic program
- Address to which transcript is to be sent
