Online applications for the School of Medicine 2026-2027 scholarships has closed for this application cycle.

The applications for the scholarships listed below will be reviewed by the School of Medicine Scholarship Committee by June 1, 2026.

There are two scholarship applications available for students to apply. One for Merit and Merit + Need based scholarships and one for Merit based with Specific Criteria scholarships.

Peyton Linwood Denman MD Endowed Scholarship FundStudent who is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University. Up to $7,863
Robert C. Carman Memorial FundStudent who is a citizen of the United States.  Up to $5,000
Lazar J. Greenfield, MD "58 Endowed Scholarship FundStudent who is a graduate of Rice University. Up to $3,000
Coker-Cox Memorial Scholarship FundNative Born Texan.   Up to $4,000
Criterion MD Student Scholarship FundStudent who is U.S. Citizens likely remain in the U.S. after graduation. Up to $5,000
Jeffery Elkins Memorial Scholarship FundMS3 who is with superb qualities in academics, leadership, and character. Up to $500
Evan Sage and Bryan Sage Endowed Scholarship FundMerit-based. Up to $2,000
Martin L. Johnson MD '75 and Olivia Young Endowed Scholarship FundA Non-Texan Student. Up to $2,000
Wilton M. Fisher Memorial Scholarship FundMerit-based. Up to $4,000
Stephen G. Lauten, M.D. '74 Scholarship EndowmentStudents from the southeastern United States. Up to $1,000

N.J. Pickett Memorial Endowed Scholarship FundMS3 or MS4 student working toward a specialty in Internal Medicine. Up to $5,000
R.W. Pickett Memorial Endowed Scholarship FundMS3 or MS4 student working toward a specialty in Family Medicine. Up to $5,000
Jeang Family Endowed ScholarshipStudents who demonstrate an interest in improving academic exchange between the United States and China and furthering cultural achievements. Up to $4,000
Dr. Evelyn Gass Powers Memorial ScholarshipStudents with an interest in women's health. Up to $4,000
The Wendy Haskell Meyer FundStudents with an interest in neurology. Up to $696

The School of Health Professions Scholarship Committee will review applications for the scholarships listed below. Students must submit using the Scholarship Application link below. 

Students may apply for multiple scholarships, but must submit a separate application for each.
