Message from the Program Director
Thank you for your interest in the Department of Anesthesiology at Baylor College of Medicine. Our program offers a comprehensive and diverse training experience for residents, with access to some of the top medical facilities in Houston. The combination of training at Ben Taub Hospital, the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas Children’s Hospital, and the Texas Heart Institute at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center provides an excellent opportunity for residents to gain exposure to various specialties and patient populations.
This program’s emphasis on providing a structured and robust didactic curriculum in addition to clinical experience is vital for preparing residents for successful careers in anesthesiology. It is our commitment to train the best physicians and anesthesiologists and we are dedicated to the growth and development of our residents. In addition, the wealth of resources and strong support system provided by the department is a tremendous asset of the program.
