Anesthesiology Residency Clinical Training Sites

Baylor College of Medicine provides professional staff at many of our Texas Medical Center affiliates. A highlight of the residency program is the ability to train residents in the largest medical center in the world in multiple diverse institutions. Residents rotate through all of the following institutions:

• Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center
• Ben Taub Hospital
• Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center
• MD Anderson Cancer Center
• Texas Children’s Hospital
• Texas Heart Institute at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center

Call frequency varies with each rotation site. On average, residents take five calls per month. Residents work between 50-65 hours per week on average. Resident work hours vary between different rotations and clinical sites. A sample standard rotation schedule may be reviewed below:
