NGS Data Access


Your NGS raw data files (FASTQs) will be made available to you by one of two ways, distribution through Illumina BaseSpace or Globus. FASTQ files generated from runs loaded with 10X Single-Cell or 10X Visium libraries, and libraries that need additional processing such as trimming will generally be shared through Globus; all other FASTQs will be shared via Illumina BaseSpace. In order to access your files follow these steps. If you run into issues, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our core administration.

Illumina BaseSpace:

  1. Prior to submitting a NGS request, go to and register for a new account. You can use your BCM or other email address. Sign up for a free-tier account which allows for storage of up to 1TB.
  2. Provide your account email address in iLAB when you submit your NGS request. It will be through this email address that we share your files.
  3. Following completion of the sequencing run and internal run performance review you will receive an email from one of our staff notifying you that your request was completed. The email will contain a secure link through which you can access your data. Please see to download your files within 14 days.
  4. Click on the link. Upon logging in, you will see a “Share Project” notice. Click on Accept.
