The Genomic and RNA Profiling core offers nucleic acid shearing as an “unassisted” service. Anybody interested in using our Covaris LE220 Focused Ultrasonicator should contact the core and sign up for a training session. Use of the Covaris can be scheduled from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Please submit a “Covaris” request in GSLE and make your instrument reservation through iLAB. Please enter your GSLE request ID number in the Comments section of your reservation in iLAB. The sonicator is located in room 321E. Users are expected to bring their own consumables and reagents. Our sonicator is compatible with 15 ul and 130 ul microtubes. See below a list of consumables you may want to consider for purchase. Our knowledgeable staff stands by to assist you with your project.
