Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America Award

Baylor College of Medicine has been selected as one of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America in 2019. This award highlights employers that epitomize what it means to be employee-focused.

Baylor earns C. Everett Koop National Health Award

Baylor College of Medicine has been selected as a winner of the C. Everett Koop National Health Award in 2019 for its workplace health promotion program, BCM BeWell. This year, 16 programs were considered for the National Health Award. Baylor was among only two awardees, along with additional organizations that received honorable mention.

Houston's Healthiest Employer Award

The Houston Business Journal has ranked Baylor College of Medicine as one of the top three "Healthiest Employers" among companies with 5,000 or more employees. Others on that list include BP Corporation North America; Chevron Corporation; Hewlett-Packard Company.

2018

Houston's Healthiest Employer Award

Baylor earned recognition as one of the top three extra-large companies in the city in Houston Business Journal’s Healthiest Employers. Baylor was recognized for excellence in categories including culture and leadership management, programming and interventions, strategic planning, reporting and analytics, and communications and marketing. Baylor College of Medicine has been recognized by the Wellness Council of America as one of the nation's healthiest companies in 2018. The Silver Well Workplace award demonstrates supportive efforts to modify health risks and improve overall health and well-being in the workplace.

BCM BeWell wellness program has earned the 2018 Gold Level Workplace Health Achievement Award from the American Heart Association for taking significant steps to build a culture of health in the workplace.

For the third year in a row, Baylor College of Medicine has been included in the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America. Baylor was also a finalist for one of the 2017 Wellness Awards, Best Use of Data and Technology.

American Heart Association Fit-Friendly Workplace

Baylor College of Medicine continues to be a fit-friendly place to live well, work well and BeWell! The award-winning wellness program, BCM BeWell has earned the 2017 Gold Level Workplace Health Achievement Award from the American Heart Association.

Bill Baun Excellence in Wellness Award

Baylor College of Medicine received the inaugural Bill Baun Excellence in Wellness Award from the Houston Business Coalition on Health, earning an exemplary honor among organizations with more than 5,000 employees. Members of the BCM BeWell team accepted the award at the HBCH Wellness Awards presentation Dec. 5 at the United Way of Greater Houston.
