Message From the Program Director

Pedro Diaz-Marchan, M.D.

On behalf of the chair, the faculty, house and administrative staff, I would like to welcome you to the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at Baylor College of Medicine. We are based in the Texas Medical Center, the largest medical complex in the world. Our 48 residents rotate through many world-renowned public and private teaching hospitals. They work with a diverse group of outstanding fellowship-trained radiologists. We have worked hard to create a hands-on, balanced educational experience and will continue to perfect it.

As our program adapts to changes to our specialty, to certification and to healthcare in the United States, resident input has been critical. Together, faculty and residents have built a strong educational curriculum. Our residents boast a 100 percent first-time pass rate on the ABR Core Exam. We are committed to training outstanding radiologists who obtain the fellowship of their choice and become leaders in our specialty.

We offer 12 advanced PGY-2 positions each year through the National Residency Matching Program. Please explore this website and learn more about our program. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Becky Baxter at
