About the Lab
The Pillon Lab aims to uncover the structure, function, and regulation of RNA processing and decay factors associated with human disease. To define the molecular basis for gene dysregulation in disease states, we combine hybrid structural biology, enzymology, molecular biology, and cell biology to characterize multi-component ribonucleoprotein (RNP) assemblies. We place a special focus on the role of higher-order multi-enzyme complexes in gene dysregulation to push the boundaries of RNA processing and decay mechanisms in disease.
