Dr. Yao Inducted as National Academy of Inventors Fellow

Dr. Cathy Yao, professor of surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology, was recently inducted to the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) as a 2019 fellow at the Fellows Induction Ceremony at the 10th Annual Meeting in Tampa, Fla., on Nov. 3, 2021. The NAI Fellows Program was established to highlight academic inventors who have demonstrated a prolific spirit of innovation in creating or facilitating outstanding inventions that have made a tangible impact on quality of life, economic development and the welfare of society. Election to NAI Fellow status is the highest professional distinction accorded solely to academic inventors.
