Familial Study of Essential Tremor (H-38910)

Description

Content

Previous research has provided strong evidence that genes play a role in essential tremor (ET). However, strong gene candidates have yet to be identified. This study aims to find new genes or genetic changes associated with ET by looking at affected families. We are looking for individuals aged 18 or older with ET who have both affected and unaffected adult relatives. The study consists of a telephone interview to learn more about you and your family and an in-person evaluation involving questionnaires and a motor assessment. For more information, please contact Amanda Stillwell or Dr. Laurie Robak at (832) 824-8942 or by email at Amanda.Stillwell@bcm.edu.
