Currently, there are no treatments for Phelan-McDermid Syndrome. The Koala study is evaluating an investigational treatment in children with the condition to see if it improves how they feel and function. The study is expected to last about 19 weeks for each child.
This study is enrolling children 3 to 12 years of age who:
- Have been diagnosed with Phelan-McDermid Syndrome
- Have had their diagnosis confirmed by genetic testing
- Weigh at least 10 kg (22 lbs)
