Patiromer Utility as an Adjunct Treatment in Patients Needing Urgent Hyperkalemia Management (PLATINUM) (H-47150)

In this study, we are enrolling patients who present to our Emergency Center who have a high blood potassium level (hyperkalemia). The goal of this study is to evaluate if patiromer can help lower potassium levels while patients are in the emergency department. Patiromer is a drug that is already FDA approved. This is a phase 4 randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled parallel group study.
