Risk and Progression In Parkinson's Disease: A Cohort Study (H-36378)

Description

Content

The overall purpose of this study is to identify genetic and other factors that influence the risk and/or progression of Parkinson`s disease (PD), including heterogeneity in clinical manifestations. To accomplish this, we will recruit and follow a cohort of patients with PD or mild PD-related symptoms as well as control subjects without PD. We will collect longitudinal information from interviews, questionnaires, blood sampling for genetic analysis, and clinical assessments, including sensitive detection of motor impairment using a sensor device worn on a belt during the evaluations.
