Role of Kinases in Endometrial Function and Dysfunction (H-21138)

This is a laboratory-based research protocol in which prospectively collected specimens of endometriotic tissue and a sample of whole blood will be obtained from patients with endometriosis or non-endometriosis controls at the time of their surgery. The group assignment will be based on whether the patient has a surgical diagnosis of endometriosis. Also at the time of surgery, an additional sample of blood will be collected. Based on surgical pathology after specimen collection samples will be grouped into endometriosis, adenomyosis, or non-endometriosis, non-adenomyosis controls.
