The Parkinson's Progression Marker Initiative (PPMI) 2.0 (H-47963)

This is an obserbational research study to better understand Parkinson's Disease (PD).  More information on disease onset and progression could speed the development of new treatments.  Now PPMI is enrolling new study participants who can contribute to a more detailed look into the way the disease develops and changes over time.  You can participate if you are:

  • at least 30 years of age, diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease within the last two year and are not currently taking and PD medication, OR
  • are a first-degree family member (parent, child, sibling) of a person with Parkinson's, OR
  • have PD risk factors (known PD genetic mutation, enduring loss of smell, history of acting our dreams during sleep), OR
  • don't have Parkinson's and have no known risk.
