ISCHEMIA: International Study of Comparative Health Effectiveness with Medical and Invasive Approaches

The goal of this study is to determine which treatment, stents or bypass surgery (invasive) or optimal use of modern medicines and lifestyle changes alone (conservative) is better for saving lives and preventing heart attacks. Participation could be up to six years and could involve up to 18 study visits. The visits are in person and some are by phone or email. All the visits will be brief.
