Texas Children's Hospital Psychiatry Research Registry (H-42448)

Description

Sign up for a psychiatric research registry

Content

The goal of this project is to develop a registry. In other words, we would like to create a list of patients who have different psychiatric conditions and collect some basic information to be able to contact them about future studies. We also would like to gather some medical information and collect a blood or saliva (spit) sample from them. Creating this registry will make research easier, which will help us better understand mental disorders, create more efficient ways to screen and diagnose, learn more about risk factors associated with mental disorders, and help improve available treatments.

What does the study entail?

  • One in-person visit at our clinic lasting about 30 minutes. Some of the visits are done virtually, out of the convenience of your home.
  • At the visit, participants will be asked to complete brief questionnaires, a blood draw, and a saliva sample.
  • Participants will be compensated $10-20, depending on how much of the study they complete.
