Content

Pilot study examining multiple physical and psychological outcomes in adolescent girls and young women, age 10-24 years, who are long-term cancer survivors. Each participant has received an alkylating agent and/or radiation therapy in the past and has evidence of ovarian insufficiency as evidence by an elevated follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) level and either delayed puberty or menstrual irregularities. Bone health is a focus of the research with data including dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) and high-resolution peripheral computed tomography (HRpQCT) measures of bone density and skeletal strength.
