CAMS Enterprise consolidates multiple stand-alone systems including admissions, student information, financial aid, student services, fiscal management with HR and payroll, alumni relations, document management, learning management, a full suite of portals, and more, into one solution that ensures administrators, staff, faculty and students all work with the most recent and most accurate information.

Students must use their BCM username and password to access the CAMS Student Portal.

The Student Portal recommended browsers are Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome

Logging In

  • Method One
  1. Connect to BCM Wifi
  2. Open the Student Portal in the recommended browsers.
  • Method Two (if you are at home, hospital or not connected to BCM Wifi)
  1. Log into BCM VPN (Choose Group: ERC)
  2. Open the Student Portal in the recommended browsers.
  3. If you have any questions about connecting to VPN, contact Ed-Tech by email or BCM IT or call 713-798-8737.

About VPN (Virtual Private Network)

Baylor College of Medicine’s VPN solution allows employees/students who are connected to the Internet through their own private connection (DSL, cable modem, AT&T U-verse, etc.) to access BCM computing resources as if they were physically connected to Baylor’s network.

Availability: In order to use a VPN connection, you will be required to install and configure the VPN software on the computer that you will be used to remotely connect to the Baylor network. BCM Office of Information Technology provides the VPN software client and the instructions to download and install it.

(Step 1) Account Creation

  1. Complete FERPA training through Success Factors and save certificate to PDF.  (Instructions for printing a certificate)
  2. The user's Supervisor must submit a Service Now request for access to CAMS and attach the FERPA certificate to the request.
  3. Once all information has been submitted, the request will be evaluated by Ed-Tech.  If approved, the user will receive a confirmation email from Ed-Tech.
  4. User will need to complete steps 2 & 3 below.

(Step 2) Faculty Portal

  • The Faculty Portal recommended browsers are Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome

(Step 2) CAMS Enterprise: Desktop Configuration

This Service-Now document outlines step-by-step procedures for configuring a workstation to access and use the Comprehensive Academic Management System Enterprise application. CAMS only runs in Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 (Windows 10) or Microsoft Edge (Windows 11)

Note: Once Internet Explorer or Edge has been configured, then you can access CAMS. However, depending on what your access is, you may not be able to log into both applications (Faculty Portal and Production). 

(Step 3) Logging In

Using SSO (Single Sign-On), sign into CAM with your BCM credentials. 

Username: {Use your BCM Username/ECA}
Password: BCM Password
