About the Program
The Baylor College of Medicine Behavioral Neurology & Neuropsychiatry (BNNP) Fellowship is a joint endeavor between the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and the Department of Neurology. Baylor College of Medicine’s participating affiliates provide intensive clinical rotations in the assessment, treatment, and longitudinal management of a diverse range of adult neuropsychiatric conditions, including movement disorders, neurodegenerative disorders, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, stroke syndromes, neuroinflammatory disorders, refractory psychiatric conditions, and sleep disorders. Particular strengths of this one-year training fellowship include its rich diversity of clinical settings; an enhanced focus on the assessment and treatment of movement disorders in both psychiatric and neurological settings; and the opportunity for fellows to develop skills in use of a variety of neurostimulation treatment techniques for psychiatric and neurological conditions. A comprehensive didactic curriculum supports and enhances the Fellow's experiential learning, appreciation of brain-behavior relationships, and knowledge of historical and current literature on BNNP.
