Join us for this two-day Critical Care Support Obstetrics Course from Aug. 27-28, 2026. This course covers physiologic changes during pregnancy, specific obstetric medical conditions and appropriate treatment, maternal cardiovascular resuscitation, and airway management of critically ill pregnant patients, as well as appropriate steps in fetal assessment, delivery, and neonatal management. This interactive course will also include several hands-on stations.

Join us Saturday, Sept. 26, for Essentials of Obstetric Ultrasound: A Hands-on Experience presented by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM). 

This one-day hybrid course consists of didactic lectures followed by a hands-on ultrasound experience (live models and simulators). Maternal-Fetal Medicine expert faculty and experienced sonographers will scan live models alongside course participants.

Join us Sunday, Sept. 27, for Ultrasound for Advanced REI: Elevating Clinical Excellence Course presented by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM). 

This one-day hybrid course provides participants with advanced, focused training in REI ultrasound techniques to enhance diagnostic accuracy and clinical decision-making in reproductive medicine. Through hands-on and didactic learning, attendees will develop increased knowledge needed to assess ovarian reserve, recognize and manage gynecological pathologies, evaluate uterine anomalies, and diagnose pregnancy complications, all while integrating cutting-edge ultrasound techniques into their clinical practice to improve outcomes in fertility treatments and early pregnancy care.

Course Objectives:

• Evaluate the uterus and its pathologies, including various types of fibroids and adenomyosis.  
  Identify advanced 3D ultrasound techniques and measure Müllerian anomalies that influence pregnancy outcomes and distinguish bicornuate from septate uterus configurations.  
• Recognize and differentiate adnexal physiological and pathological changes, including ovarian cysts and masses, and tubal pathology.  
• Assess ovarian reserve with ultrasound.    
• Describe sonohysterogram techniques for evaluating uterine cavity abnormalities and tubal patency with HyCoSy.  
• Acquire increased knowledge in diagnosing early pregnancy complications, such as ectopic pregnancies, missed abortions, and subchorionic hematomas, with precision and confidence.    
• Evaluate the pelvic floor muscles and its changes in pelvic floor pathologies.

This immersive, simulation-based OBGYN Emergency Training Course helps equip OBGYN hospitalists and generalist providers with the evidence-based knowledge and hands-on skills to confidently manage the most critical maternal emergencies.

• Recognize the increasing incidence of cesarean scar pregnancy and apply evidence-based diagnostic
  principles, including ultrasound assessment, to evaluate pregnancies of unknown location and
  suspected ectopic pregnancy.
• Apply current management strategies for hypertensive crisis and eclampsia in obstetric patients,
  including timely recognition, stabilization, treatment, and escalation of care.
• Demonstrate evidence-based approaches to postpartum hemorrhage management, including
  rapid assessment, treatment prioritization, escalation of care, and team communication.
• Recognize, learn, and manage maternal code scenarios using evidence-based resuscitation
  principles, role clarity, closed-loop communication, and coordinated team-based response.
• Perform critical obstetric emergency skills, including shoulder dystocia maneuvers, vaginal breech delivery techniques, breech extraction, and approaches to deep pelvic arrest, with emphasis on newer techniques and evolving best practices.
• Integrate simulation-based practice and guided briefings to improve clinical decision-making,
  procedural confidence, team communications, and emergency response performance.
