Alexander M- OBGYN

Megan Alexander, M.D., M.Sc.

Boston University

Born in San Antonio, Texas and raised in Las Vegas, Nev., Dr. Alexander is excited to return to her Texas roots. She completed her undergraduate education at Stanford University, majoring in Human Biology. She then pursued a Masters of Science in Community Health and Prevention Research at the Stanford University School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Alexander’s passions lie at the intersection of reproductive health and preventive and lifestyle medicine. She believes in patient empowerment and sees her work within OB/GYN as an entry point to help individuals optimize health across their life course. Dr. Alexander’s clinical interests remain broad and include cardiometabolic diseases in pregnancy, PCOS and infertility, and sexual health. In her free time, she enjoys planning road trips and cooking parties, being physically active, and frequenting local farmers markets.

Barkdull, S- OBGYN

Savannah Barkdull, M.D., M.S.

University of Miami

Dr. Barkdull was born and raised in North Palm Beach, Fla. She attended the University of Virginia (Go Hoos!) for her undergraduate education where she studied biology and bioethics. She returned to South Florida for medical school, receiving her medical degree as well as a master of science in genomic medicine from the University of Miami. Her clinical interests include gynecologic oncology, genetics, and medical education. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys cheering on her favorite sports teams, exploring Houston’s food scene and being active outdoors.

Bastian, I- OBGYN

Ingmar Bastian, M.D.

University of Wisconsin

Dr. Bastian was born in Würzburg, Germany and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He studied physiology and neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego and went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During his undergraduate and medical studies, Dr. Bastian cultivated a strong interest in basic science and clinical research. His clinical interests range from high-risk obstetrics to gynecologic oncology. He also has a special interest in patient and medical education. Outside of work he enjoys the outdoors, exercising, cooking, and spending time with his fiancé and their two dogs.

Cervantes, I-OBGYN

Isabella Cervantes, M.D.

University of New Mexico

Dr. Cervantes is a born and raised in New Mexico. She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of New Mexico. Her clinical interests include medical education reform, pediatric and adolescent gynecology, and promoting healthy literacy. She is dedicated to serving marginalized and Hispanic communities. Dr. Cervantes is eager to embark on this next adventure and bring her passion to Houston! In her free time, she enjoys creating home renovation projects, discovering new workout classes, and hanging with her rescue pup, Tater.

Savannah Cotter OBGYN

Savannah Cotter, M.D.

Baylor College of Medicine

Dr. Cotter grew up in Kingwood, Texas and attended Texas A&M for college, where she majored in Biomedical Engineering. She returned to Houston for medical school at Baylor College of Medicine and is so excited to stay part of the BCM family for residency. Her clinical interests include high-risk obstetrics, patient education, and preventative care. In her free time, she enjoys reading, walking her golden retriever, spin class and exploring all the food options in Houston. 

Davitt, C- OBGYN

Caroline Davitt, M.D.

Medical College of Wisconsin

Dr. Davitt was born and raised in Boston, Mass. before heading west to pursue pre-medical studies at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.. After graduating in 2017, she spent a year researching maternal and pediatric malnutrition in sub-Saharan Africa and at Washington University School of Medicine under Dr. Mark Manary. In 2022, she graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin with honors in research for her work on pharmacotherapy in gestational diabetes and as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. With a passion for clinical research and surgical quality improvement, Dr. Davitt’s academic interests continue to gravitate toward gynecologic oncology, placenta accreta spectrum, and high-risk operative obstetrics. Dr. Davitt is a high-energy yogi who loves distance running, the New England Patriots, and hosting large family-style dinners. She can’t wait to begin caring for and integrating into the Houston Texas community!

El Sabeh, M- OBGYN

Malak El Sabeh, M.D.

American University of Beirut 

Dr. El Sabeh was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. She graduated from the American University of Beirut with a degree in biology and a minor in creative writing. She continued her medical training at the same university where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. During medical school, she was interested in underserved care and volunteered in several initiatives such as HEAL clinic which offered free health care services for migrant workers. After graduation, she joined the Department of Gynecology at Johns Hopkins University as a postdoctoral research fellow where she led several translational and clinical studies on uterine fibroids and the effect of COVID-19 vaccination on menstrual health. In her free time, Dr. El Sabeh enjoys running, reading, cooking, and baking bread with her husband.

Harper, M- OBGYN

Megan Harper, M.D., M.P.H.

Tufts University

Dr. Harper was born and raised in Fairfax, Va. She attended the University of Virginia for her undergraduate degree in neuroscience, with a minor in computer science. She went on to receive her medical education and Master’s in Public Health at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, where she developed her passion for global women’s health. Outside of work she enjoys exploring new restaurants, spending time in nature, and curling up with a good book.

Kracaw, R-OBGYN

Rachel Kracaw, M.D.

University of Nevada

Dr. Kracaw was born and raised in Winnemucca, a rural town in northern Nevada. She received her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Calif. She completed her medical degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include medical education, gynecologic surgery, and infertility. In her free time, Dr. Kracaw enjoys traveling, rock climbing, skiing, playing pickleball, and spending time with her family, friends, and cats.

Taylor, L- OBGYN

Lauren Taylor, M.D. 

Baylor College of Medicine

Dr. Taylor is a Houston native and grew up in The Woodlands, Texas. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in microbiology and a minor in dance before returning to Houston to receive her medical training at Baylor College of Medicine. She is thrilled to be staying at Baylor for residency and hopes to continue pursuing her interests in high-risk pregnancies and maternal-fetal ethics. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Houston’s restaurant scene, taking barre and spin classes, and watching her favorite teams play (Geaux Tigers and Go ‘Stros!).

Turner, A- OBGYN

Angelique Turner, M.D.

University of Texas Houston

Dr. Turner was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She received her undergraduate degree in public health with a minor in psychology and chemistry from the University of Miami. During her time at Miami, she became passionate about women's health. She enjoyed four years in South Florida and then moved back Houston and attended the University of Texas McGovern Medical School. Her clinical interests include high-risk obstetrics and women’s health advocacy. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends in Houston, traveling back to Miami, and going on walks with her mini goldendoodle, Mia.

Wang, C- OBGYN

Courtney Wang, M.D.

University of Texas Houston

Dr. Wang was born in Springfield, Mo. but grew up in the suburbs of Houston, Texas. She graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans, La. with a degree in public health. She went on to receive her medical education at the University of Texas McGovern Medical School in Houston where she developed her passions for patient advocacy and medical education. Outside the hospital, she enjoys traveling, baking sweet treats, and exploring the Houston food scene.
