Dr. Aalipourbirgani was raised in Tehran, Iran. He obtained his M.D. degree from TUMS, Tehran, Iran. He sought to continue his education and joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor where he was given a great chance to continue working in an area he is passionate about. Being a piano player and classical singer, he began drawing parallels between music and the art of medicine. As a piano teacher, Dr. Aalipourbirgani devotes his soul to his music, as a good physician must dedicate himself to his patient's treatment and care. It is only through this undivided care and attention that a patient can benefit most both in diagnosis and recovery. His clinical interests include medical education, maternal fetal medicine and gynecology oncology. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, playing piano, singing and teaching classical piano.

Dr. Ajjarapu is a proud Iowa native who is happy to be back in the city of her alma mater for her Ob/Gyn training. After completing her undergraduate studies at Rice University, she returned to her home state and received her M.D./M.P.H. at the University of Iowa. During medical school, Dr. Ajjarapu became passionate about global public health and hopes to advocate for local women’s health issues in the greater Houston area. In her free time, Dr. Ajjarapu enjoys expressing herself creatively through music and writing. She also enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends, interior decorating, and exploring the diverse Houston restaurant scene.

Isaac Chamani, M.D.

Dr. Chamani was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. He spent three years studying in rabbinical school in Israel, before beginning his undergraduate studies at CUNY Brooklyn College. He then underwent medical training at NYU School of Medicine, where he developed an interest in Ob/Gyn, and graduated with Honors for his research on understanding the molecular, genetic, and epigenetic drivers of oocyte and early embryo development. His interests within Ob/Gyn remain broad, but he has developed a particular fascination with reproductive endocrinology and infertility. In his free time, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and son, biking, BBQing, playing guitar, and studying Talmud.

Phillip Connell, M.D., M.S.

Dr. Connell is a Virginia native, food-loving optimist, and a proud twin, with an avid predilection for detective shows and espresso drinks. Through his educational journey, he earned a bachelor of science in biomedical engineering and a master of science in commerce from the University of Virginia. He then attained his M.D. degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. His personal story of being an early product of in vitro fertilization technology led him to discover his passion for the field of Ob/Gyn in medical school. He hopes to use his educational background, in concert with his clinical experience, to develop new options for women overcoming pathology. Sub-specialization is likely in his future; and he is very excited to care for patients, develop his teaching skills, learn Spanish muy rápido, and explore the abundant opportunities available as a Baylor Ob/Gyn resident.

Dr. Grenvik was born and raised in east Tennessee and received her bachelor of science in biochemistry from the University of Tennessee in 2016. She then went on to receive her medical education at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pa. While in medical school, she volunteered as a medical Spanish interpreter and conducted research concerning the potential maternal and fetal benefits of the use of the birthing ball and peanut ball during labor. Her passions include global women's health, advocacy, immigrant health, and pediatric and adolescent gynecology. When she is not at work, she enjoys indoor rock climbing, cooking new recipes, and doing fitness classes.

Dr. LePoidevin grew up in Lake Havasu City, Ariz. She received her bachelor of science in physiology as well as her medical degree from the University of Arizona. Throughout medical school, she volunteered in a free, student-run clinic for women and children, which is where she found her passion for women's health and underserved care. In her free time she enjoys running, painting, boxing, and doing home-improvement projects with her family.

Dr. Limas was raised in a border town in Mexico called Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas. She completed her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, Texas and earned her medical degree at the University of Texas McGovern Medical School in Houston. During her time at McGovern she held multiple leadership positions within the Latino Medical Student Association where she focused on promoting Latino health and underserved patient advocacy. Her interests within women’s health include preventative medicine, patient education, and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and trying new recipes, visiting new restaurants, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Syed is a native Houstonian and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Houston, where she studied biology, political science, and history. She stayed in Houston to complete her medical education at Baylor College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. During medical school, her growing interest in health policy and reproductive rights led her to study law at the University of Houston Law Center. There she received her J.D. with a concentration in health law. Her clinical interests include family planning, sexual health education, and maternal mortality and morbidity. In her free time, she enjoys running, spin and boot camp classes, and exploring the Houston food and arts scene.

He attended the University of Toronto where he received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry and neuroscience. He went on to obtain his medical education and Master of Public Health at Saint Louis University. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, cooking, and spending time with friends, family, and his samoyed, Mistletoe.

Dr. Tounsi was born and raised in Damascus, Syria. She received her undergraduate degree in biology and medical degree from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. After graduating, she pursued two years of clinical research in maternal fetal medicine at University of Texas in Houston. Her clinical interests range from women’s global health to high-risk pregnancies. In her free time, she likes to go dancing, play the piano, read and travel to new places.

She then headed to San Antonio, Texas  to earn her medical degree from UT Health San Antonio - Long School of Medicine. At this time, her clinical interests include high-risk obstetrics and medical education. Outside of medicine, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, frequenting the Houston Zoo and searching for the best restaurants in town.

Dr. Zhang was born in China and raised in Chapel Hill, N.C. where he stayed for his undergraduate education (Go Heels!). He went on to earn a master's degree at Georgetown University, then returned home to University of North Carolina to complete medical school. His interests within Ob/Gyn include gynecologic oncology and urogynecology, and he hopes to ultimately pursue a career in academic medicine. When not at the hospital, he enjoys playing basketball, working out, and spending time with his wife.
