Hailie Ciomperlik

Hailie Ciomperlik, M.D.

University of Texas Houston

Dr. Ciomperlik was born and raised in South Texas. She attended Texas A&M university for her undergraduate degree, where she majored in biomedical science and minored in sociology. She completed her medical degree at University of Texas at Houston, McGovern Medical School. Her clinical interests are diverse but include high risk obstetrics and clinical research. In her free time, she is an active baker, traveler, and explorer of the Houston food scene!

Rachel Eleazu

Rachel Eleazu, M.D.

University of Pittsburgh

Dr. Eleazu was born in Nigeria and grew up partly in South Jersey before moving to the city of Pittsburgh. While in Pittsburgh she completed her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with minors in Africana Studies and Chemistry. She went on to work in clinical and translational research at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Pittsburgh VA Hospital System studying novel pharmaceutic and therapeutic interventions for heart failure. Dr. Eleazu received her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where she engaged heavily in leadership, research, and advocacy. She is a member of the Gold Humanism Society and served as the National Vice President for the Student National Medical Association. Her research focuses on the impact of stress and trauma exposure on pregnancy outcomes. In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family including her puppy, Storm, photography, and last but not least, cooking and eating.

Lauren Greenwood

Lauren Greenwood, M.D.

Baylor College of Medicine

Dr. Greenwood was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She attended the University of Virginia for college, where she majored in Human Biology and spent two summers conducting public health research in South Africa. She returned to Houston for medical school at Baylor College of Medicine. During her time at Baylor, she participated in both the Care of the Underserved Pathway and the Medical Ethics Pathway. She is thrilled to remain at Baylor for residency and hopes to further explore her interests in high-risk obstetrics and fetal anomalies. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Greenwood enjoys running, playing pickleball, and spending time with her dog, Ivy.  

Kamran Hessami

Kamran Hessami, M.D.

Shiraz University

Dr. Hessami was born and raised in Shiraz, Iran. He did his medical school training at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and graduated as the valedictorian of his class. After graduation, he did two years of Obstetrics and Gynecology postdoctoral research fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine and Harvard Medical School before joining the OBGYN family at Baylor College of Medicine as a resident physician. His research interests include maternal-fetal medicine and public and global health. In his free time, Dr. Hessami enjoys hiking, reading, cooking and going to the gym.

Victoria Huynh

Victoria Huynh, M.D.

Louisiana State University

Born and raised in Southern Louisiana, Dr. Huynh is excited to bring her Cajun flair to Texas. After studying biochemistry at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, she went on to receive her M.D. at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Throughout medical school, she has volunteered in her community to provide comprehensive reproductive health education as well as harm reduction. In 2022, she completed a year-long research fellowship at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD with the Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology where she explored her clinical interests in fertility preservation and polycystic ovarian syndrome. She is excited to continue expanding her clinical interests in residency. Outside the hospital, she enjoys attempting Gordon Ramsay recipes, trail running, and playing the piano.   

Ikwuagwu, B-OBGYN

Brittany Ikwuagwu, M.D., M.P.H.

University of Texas Houston

Dr. Ikwuagwu was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She earned her M.D. and MPH from McGovern Medical School and the UTHealth School of Public Health. Dr. Ikwuagwu is passionate about women’s health equity, health policy, and physician advocacy. She has held several leadership roles in organized medicine and currently serves as the current Euguene Toy Advocacy Fellow for District XI of ACOG as well as the Alternate Delegate for the Texas delegation in the American Medical Association Resident and Fellow Section. 

Caridad Infante

Caridad Infante, M.D.

University of Central Florida

Dr. Infante was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and is a proud daughter of immigrant parents from Cuba. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and went on to earn her medical degree at the University of Central Florida where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. While in medical school, Dr. Infante founded an organization that distributes menstrual products to marginalized populations while also facilitating menstrual health education workshops in schools across the country as part of the Period Education Project. She is excited to serve the community in Houston and continue to cultivate her passion for promoting health equity and patient education, notably among immigrant populations. Dr. Infante’s clinical interests include advocacy, preventive medicine, and substance use during pregnancy. When Dr. Infante isn’t taking long walks with her pit bull, Misha, she enjoys salsa dancing, taking barre classes, and watching reality television!

Chidinma Iweha

Chidinma Iweha, M.D.

University of Kansas

Dr. Iweha was raised in Wichita, Kansas. She received her undergraduate degree in microbiology with a minor in psychology from the University of Kansas. She then went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include minimally invasive gynecological surgery and promoting health literacy in women’s health. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring various cuisines, traveling, and her fairly new interest of watching Broadway musicals. She is excited to care for the community of Houston and call Houston home!

Mohamad Maktabi

Mohamad Maktabi, M.D.

American University of Beirut

Dr. Maktabi was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. He received his undergraduate education at the American University of Beirut with a B.S. in Biology. He subsequently pursued his medical education at the same institution, where he was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and graduated in 2021. Dr. Maktabi has a deep passion for serving underserved and marginalized communities and has been actively involved in numerous outreach initiatives in his hometown, where he led and participated in efforts to provide essential healthcare services to those in need. Following his graduation, he joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine as a postdoctoral research associate where he worked on clinical and translational research projects in the field of prenatal and reproductive genetics, particularly in cell-based non-invasive prenatal testing. His clinical interests are centered around high-risk obstetrics, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and equitable reproductive health. In his free time, Dr. Maktabi enjoys cooking/baking with his friends and family, discovering the best restaurants in Houston, and music.

Diana Palacios

Diana Palacios, M.D.

University of Texas San Antonio

Dr. Palacios grew up in Houston, Texas and completed her undergraduate education at Texas Tech University where she majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry and Human Development/Family studies. She then pursued her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Palacios is deeply committed to addressing health disparities and advocating for marginalized communities, particularly within the Hispanic population. She strives to empower and educate her patients, helping them navigate complex healthcare systems and providing them with the tools they need to make informed decisions about their own health. Her clinical interests include reproductive health access, patient education, and health disparities. In her free time, Dr. Palacios enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, hiking, playing board games, and spending time with her loved ones.

OBGYN Reynolds, A

Alexis Reynolds, M.D.

University of Texas Houston

Dr. Reynolds was born in South Florida. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Miami and then traveled to Texas to complete her medical degree at the University of Texas Houston. She chose to pursue a career in Ob/Gyn because she wanted to empower women in the same way she was empowered by the women in her life growing up. Ob/Gyn is a specialty that allows her to make an impact both in the hospital and community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dogs. You can also find her enjoying the outdoors, going to Broadway musicals, taking a Zumba class, or at Disney. 

Michelle Terry

Michelle Terry, M.D.

Texas Tech University

Dr. Terry was born in England and raised in Southlake, Texas, a suburb of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. She studied biology and sociology at the University of Texas at Austin and went on to receive her medical degree from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas. Her clinical interests include human and sex trafficking, high-risk operative obstetrics, advocacy for accessible healthcare, and wilderness medicine. She takes her coffee black and her Tea Earl Grey without milk or sugar. In her free time, she loves to unplug and take camping/hiking trips, eat pad thai, and take her tortie cat on walks!
