About the Program
The Baylor College of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency is one of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive internal medicine programs. We have about 170 residents in our various tracks, and our residents develop essential clinical reasoning, patient care, communication, scholarship, and teaching skills via varied rotations across four main hospital systems.
2025-2026 Program Recruitment Season Timeline
- Applications reviewed from late September through late October
- Interview invitations sent after 3 p.m. EST on Tuesdays and Fridays in a rolling manner starting Tuesday, Oct. 14
- Majority of interviews offered by Nov. 3, 2025
- Interviews take place the first week of November 2025 through the middle of January 2026
- Program rank list certified by Monday, Feb. 9 as part of NRMP's voluntary program rank order list lock
- Optional, second look in-person visits in late February 2025 - dates TBD
We will again be participating in ERAS’ signaling program during the 2025-2026 recruitment season. Due to a high volume of applications, we are very unlikely to extend interview offers to applicants who do not signal our program (with either gold or silver).
