Deep Phenotypic Characterization of Misophonia in Children and Adolescents
Baylor College of Medicine is conducting research on the symptomatic presentation and characteristics of children and adolescents, ages 8 to 17, with misophonia or anxiety problems. Misophonia involves strong negative emotional reactions (e.g., anger, disgust) to specific sounds (e.g., chewing). Eligible participants will participate in online assessment sessions, a single in-person session, and two optional follow-up surveys at months 3 and 6. You will receive up to $170 for participation. If you are interested, would like more information, or would like to see if you qualify, please contact Gifty Amos Nwankwo at misophonia@bcm.edu or (713) 798-1916.
