Interview Procedures

In accordance with the guidelines of our national organizations, BCM Emergency Medicine will be offering only virtual interviews during the current application season. Our program is committed to a holistic review of all applications which considers a broad range of attributes, and we do not filter by predetermined metrics.

Under the guidance of the County Program Community of Practice, we anticipate releasing our first round of interview offers on Oct. 21, 2025 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time (2 p.m. Central Time).

Additional interviews may be offered after the 21st, but applicants should not expect an interview invite prior to this date.

Those receiving invitations during the first round will be able to select their preferred interview date 24 hours after receiving the invitation on Oct. 22, 2025 at 3 p.m. Eastern Time (2 p.m. Central Time).

Our program limits interview invitations to the number of interview slots available.

Applicants will be given a minimum of 48 hours after receiving an interview invitation to accept or decline prior to the program releasing the interview slot to another candidate.

Candidates who do not receive an invitation on or about the date specified above can consider themselves on the waitlist. We do not routinely send out rejections to any candidates, but rather, we re-review all those not initially invited in the event of an interview slot becoming open.

Our program is planning to offer in-person second looks later in the season, and will inform all candidates invited to interview once details are available. We recognize that many candidates may not have the ability or means to travel. As such, whether or not a candidate visits the program will in no way affect the status of their application.
