Eligibility
The Molecular Genetic Pathology Fellowship program offers two ACGME-approved positions per academic year.
Application prerequisites:
- Eligible for certification by the American Board of Pathology (AP/CP, AP, or CP)
- Eligible for certification by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (M.D.s only)

Oct. 1, 2025: Application window opens (apply online)
Jan. 1, 2026 - Feb. 28, 2026: Interview window
Feb. 4, 2026: Programs and applicants begin registering for the Match and sign the legally binding Match Participation Agreement
March 11, 2026: NRMP ranking opens
April 15, 2026: Rank order list certification deadline
April 29, 2026: Match Day
July 2027: New fellows start
Application
All application materials, including recommendation letters, should be submitted online, and include the following:
- Completed online House Staff Application
- Personal statement
- Curriculum vitae
- Medical school transcripts and step I, II, and III USMLE/COMLEX scores
- Two letters of recommendation
