Professional Statement
I am a native of Brazil who graduated from Federal University of Espirito Santo in 1994 and attended the University of Miami School of Medicine William J. Harrington for seven months in 1993/1994. Following a one year internship in the general surgery program at Municipal Hospital of Sao Paolo in Brazil in 1995, I moved to the USA and started internship (Transitional Year) at New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens (a Cornell University affiliate) in July 1996. In 1997 I started Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Case Western Reserve University-MetroHealth Campus and graduated in 2001. At the same time I became a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology. From 2001 to 2002 I attended the Abdominal Imaging Fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation. I joined Baylor College of Medicine Department of Radiology in October 2002 at the MEDVAMC and then in 2006 joined Baylor Radiology Associates. Throughout these several years I have contributed to both the clinical and academic missions of our department and during my time at the VA I was also involved in radiology residents' education.Websites
