Two one-year positions are available in surgical pathology fellowship. This fellowship provides ample opportunity to work on many complex cases; in-depth learning about routine cases and to enjoy the challenges of rare cases. Although this fellowship is directed on advanced training in general surgical pathology, it provides experiences in subspecialty subjects . This fellowship provides an opportunity to conduct research in surgical pathology and various area of subspecialty. Fellows are encouraged, and expected, to prepare one or more abstracts for presentation at annual national or international pathology meetings.

Ben Taub Hospital, Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center and St. Joseph Medical Center are the three main hospitals that provide learning opportunities for this fellowship.

Candidates must be board certified or eligible for certification in anatomic pathology or AP/CP and must be eligible for a license to practice in Texas.
