Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center is a 900-bed private hospital, renowned for its excellence in diagnosis and treatment of gastroenterological disease. The hospital is staffed by both Baylor and private physicians, and serves a local, national, and international referral population.

Ben Taub Hospital

Ben Taub Hospital, a 600 bed safety net hospital, is the major general medical and surgical hospital serving the disadvantaged of Houston and Harris County is part of the  Harris Health System, which cares for approximately a million lives in three hospitals and multiple community clinics.  The Gastrointestinal Section provides in-patient and out-patient consultations.  Fellows, faculty and mid-levels see about 700 patient outpatients monthly in both general GI and subspecialty clinics.  The endoscopy unit at Ben Taub performs approximately 500 procedures a month.

Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center

The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center is a 1,000-bed facility with state-of-the-art equipment. The gastroenterology section offers world renowned clinical service. The consultative team, made up of students, residents, fellows and the attending gastroenterologist, act as consultants to the house staff for a wide variety of acute and chronic liver and gastrointestinal diseases. Many clinical studies in this patient population are being actively pursued.
