About the Lab

Research in our lab focuses on the regulation of cardiac ion channels in normal and diseased hearts. In particular, we study the regulation of the intracellular calcium release channel/ ryanodine receptors, and how abnormal calcium release may contribute to the development of cardiac arrhythmias, hypertrophy and heart failure. These translational studies are aimed at developing new therapeutic targets for heart disease.
