Message from the Chief
The vast majority of human disease and suffering is inflammatory in nature. Our section is devoted to the treatment and study of some of the most common and serious of human inflammatory diseases, including autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, Sjögren’s syndrome, and interstitial lung disease; other rheumatic conditions such as osteoarthritis; allergic diseases such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, and food allergies; and many other conditions.
Whether you are a patient seeking the most sophisticated treatment for your inflammatory condition; a physician seeking advanced training in allergy and immunology or rheumatology; or an immunologist interested in collaborative research, I invite you to explore the superb physicians and investigators that comprise our faculty and the treatment, research, educational, and employment opportunities that are detailed in our website.
Sandeep Krishna Agarwal, M.D., Ph.D.
Chief, Section of Immunology, Allergy and Rheumatology
