The innovative team at iCAMP has once again showcased their research prowess, this time at the 23rd Interdisciplinary Diabetic Foot Conference (DFCon) held Sept. 28-30, 2023, in Anaheim, CA.

Naima Rodriguez, research coordinator at iCAMP, secured the top position in the poster presentation category. Rodriguez's research investigated the impacts of IntraDialytic electrical stimulation on neuropathy and mobility among hemodialysis patients. Her abstract, “Intradialytic Plantar Electrical Stimulation Improves Gait Ability and Postural Transition In Patients With Hemodialysis: A Double-Blind Randomized Controlled Trial,” was a collaborative project involving Drs. Lee, Beom, and Najafi from iCAMP, and Drs. Al-Ali, Hamad, Ibrahim, and Talal from Hamad General Hospital, Doha, Qatar.

Gözde Çay, Ph.D., a postdoctoral researcher with iCAMP, was honored with a DFCon23 Young Investigator Award, underscoring her groundbreaking contributions to the domain of diabetic foot care. Dr. Çay's research revolves around smart offloading techniques, complemented by state-of-the-art remote patient monitoring visualization methods. Her abstract, “Empowering Clinicians With Holistic Visualization of Key Factors Associated With Poor Healing For Personalized Care,” featured contributions from Drs. Finco and Najafi at iCAMP. This trailblazing work was also a collaborative effort with Mr. Garcia and Drs. Mcnitt and Armstrong from the University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine. Additionally, Mr. Viano and Macagno from Sensoria Health provided invaluable insights to the study.
