Career Development Center
The center offers workshops, seminars and courses to help students explore many career paths open to individuals with a Ph.D. The center’s staff helps students find opportunities to gain experience and build connections that match their career interests. They also work one-on-one with students to help them define and reach their goals.
Alumni Success Story
Now a full professor and the associate program director of the CPSB graduate program, Zheng Zhou conducted her Ph.D. research on yeast DNA damage response in the Ph.D. Program of Biochemistry (the predecessor of the CPSB Program) at Baylor College of Medicine. After her postdoctoral training at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, she joined the faculty in the Department of Biochemistry at BCM in 2001, where she studies the mechanisms that drive the clearance of dying cells from animal bodies. Dr. Zhou enjoys the stimulating scientific atmosphere, the collegial environment, and the eager, energetic, creative and hard-working graduate students.
