Kyle Brown, M.D. graduated from our program in 2019. He is the co-medical director of the PICU at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, TX.

Melanie Kitagawa, M.D. M.H.A graduated from our program in 2017. She is the medical director of PICU at Texas Children’s Hospital-Main Campus.

Kristen Meulmester, M.D. graduated from our program in 2020. She is the medical director of Pediatric Transport at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, TX.

Thomas Fogarty, M.D. graduated from our program in 2018. He is the associate medical information officer for analytics and data governance at Texas Children’s Hospital-Main Campus.

Jordana Goldman, M.D., graduated from our program in 2013. She is the medical director of Intensive Care at Methodist Children's Hospital, San Antonio, Texas.

Fernando Stein, M.D. was the inaugural Pediatric Critical Care fellow at Baylor College of Medicine and graduated our program in 1980. He is a past president of the American Academy of Pediatrics (2017) and served as an immediate past president in 2018.  Dr. Stein is currently the interim Division Chief of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Texas Children’s Hospital.

M. Michele Mariscalco, M.D. graduated from our program in 1986. She is the assistant vice chancellor of Health Sciences Academic Affairs at the University of Illinois at Chicago and the associate dean for Systems-Based Practice at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.

Thomas C. Mayes, M.D. MBA graduated from our program in 1989. He is the dean of the El Paso Medical School.

James Fortenberry, M.D. is a professor of Pediatric Critical Care, Department of Pediatrics, Emory University School of Medicine. He graduated from our program in 1991 and is pediatrician-in-chief at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta-Egleston.

Michael Romano, M.D. graduated from our program in 1993. He is the associate dean for Clinical Affairs at Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, Texas Tech University HSC.

Jeanine Graf, M.D. graduated from our program in 1995. She is the medical director for The Kangaroo Crew (Transport) at Texas Children’s Hospital and chief medical officer at Texas Children’s Hospital-West Campus

M. Hossein Tcharmtchi, M.D. graduated from our program in 1997. He served as the director for the Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program for 12 years and is now an associate chief for the Division of Critical Care Medicine.

Eric Williams, M.D. MS MMM graduated from our program in 1999. He served as chief quality officer for Texas Children’s Hospital and is currently the chief medical information officer for Texas Children’s Hospital.

Linda Thompson, M.D. graduated from our program in 2006. She is the division chief of pediatric critical and intensive care services at Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, TX where she also serves as medical director of PICU and Pediatric Transport. In addition, she is the chair of Cook Children’s Physician Network Board of Directors.

Nadeem Shafi, M.D. graduated from our program in 2007. He is the medical director of PICU at University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

Katri Typpo, M.D., MPH graduated from our program in 2008. She is the division chief of the Critical Care Section at University of Arizona Health Science Center, Tuscon, Ariz.

Mary Gaspers, M.D. MPH graduated from our program in 2008. She is the medical director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at University of Arizona Health Science Center, Tuscon, Ariz.

Danny Castro, D.O., MEd graduated from our program in 2009. He is the medical director of Respiratory Care at Texas Children’s Hospital - Main & West Campuses and is currently the director for the Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program.

Aarti Bavare, M.D. MPH graduated from our program in 2012 and then completed a Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Instructorship at Texas Children's Hospital. She is the medical director of Quality and Safety for the Critical Care Division and co-chair of the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Committee at Texas Children’s Hospital.

William Cutrer, M.D. MEd graduated from our program in 2010. He is an associate dean for UME at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine where he also serves as the director of Learning Communities and the Immersion Phase co-director. Dr. Cutrer is one of the editors of the book, “The Master Adaptive Learner”, the 1st edition of an AMA MedEd Innovation Series.

Matthew Musick, M.D. graduated from our program in 2011. He is the Associate Chief of Clinical Operations for the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Texas Children’s Hospital.

Amy Arrington, M.D., Ph.D. graduated from our program in 2013. She is the medical director of the Special Isolation Unit at Texas Children’s Hospital.

Matthew Pesek, M.D. graduated from our program in 2013. He is the medical director of PICU at Texas Children’s Hospital- West Campus

Brian Rissmiller, M.D. graduated from our program in 2016. He is the associate program director for the Pediatric Residency Program at Baylor College of Medicine.

Jennifer Erklauer, M.D. graduated from our program in 2017. She is the medical director of Neuro-ICU at Texas Children's Hospital – Main Campus.

Scott M. Wheatley, M.D. graduated from our program in 2013. He is the medical director of PICU and chief of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital.

Emily Krennerich, M.D. graduated from our program in 2017. She completed a Pediatric Critical Care Transport fellowship in London, UK. She is now a PICU attending at St. Mary's Hospital in London and works with the regional transport teams.

Ayse A. Arikan, M.D. graduated from our program in 2004. She is board certified in pediatric critical care medicine and pediatric nephrology and serves as medical director of Critical Care Nephrology and Acute Dialysis. She is also the medical director of Extracorporeal Liver Support at Texas Children’s Hospital. 

Mona McPherson, M.D. MPH graduated from our program in 1999. She is the medical director for Mission Control at Texas Children’s Hospital.

Erin M. Kritz, DO graduated from our program in 2017 and then completed a Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Instructorship at Texas Children's Hospital. Dr. Kritz currently serves as the medical director of the Rapid Response System at Texas Children’s Hospital.
