Section Overview
The Section of Nephrology in the Department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine is dedicated to:
- Providing excellent care for patients with kidney disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, kidney stones and transplantation and dialysis treatment.
- Training future leaders in nephrology to develop research in kidney disease, hypertension, kidney transplantation and the disorders caused by kidney diseases.
- Maintaining robust and well-funded research programs in basic, translational and clinical science as it relates to the mechanisms, prevention and treatment of acute and chronic kidney diseases.
- Promoting the careers of promising physicians and scientists in kidney research.
