Message From the Program Director
On behalf of the chair, the faculty, house and administrative staff, I would like to welcome you to the Neuroradiology Fellowship Program at Baylor College of Medicine. Thirty-seven fellowship-trained neuroradiologists from five hospitals provide the trainees with a hands-on, balanced educational experience that is unique in the Texas Medical Center.
Fellows have access to state-of-the-art equipment and rotate through world-renowned facilities throughout the TMC, including Ben Taub Hospital, Texas Children's Hospital, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center and Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Daily case and multidisciplinary conferences complement a robust educational program.
Seventy fellows have graduated from the program since its inception in 1976. They have gone on to have successful careers in academic medicine and private practice. Admissions
The Neuroradiology Fellowship Program at Baylor College of Medicine offers three positions each year to qualified applicants through the National Residency Matching Program. Candidates must complete a four-year Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada prior to beginning their fellowship.
Our fellowship program will be participating in the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) in the upcoming 2024 interview season for positions beginning July 1, 2026.
Dates of the match:
- Nov. 1, 2024: Can submit applications to programs
- Jan. 13-March 31, 2025: Virtual interview period
- March 12, 2025: Match registration opens
- April 16, 2025: Rank order list opens
- May 21, 2025: Quota change deadline
- June 4, 2025: Ranking order list deadline
- June 18, 2025: Match Day
- July 1, 2026: Training begins
The electronic residency application and all supporting documentation (listed below) must be received via ERAS no later than January 2025.

Rotations coincide with calendar months and include general, pediatric and oncologic neuroradiology, as well as neurointerventional radiology and imaging of the spine.

Didactic conferences are held every weekday at 7 a.m. at one our affiliate hospitals in the Texas Medical Center.

Our fellows are asked to produce at least one publication during their year as a fellow. This can be a poster or an educational exhibit presented at a national meeting, or a publication in peer-reviewed journal. Those with a special interest in research will find ample opportunity to work with mentors throughout the Texas Medical Center.
