Departmental Grand Rounds Conference
The Department of Neurosurgery hosts weekly Grand Rounds conferences every Wednesday and Friday mornings. These conferences feature a rotating set of presentations, including case presentations, journal club, quality improvement, resident seminar, fellow seminar, and guest speaker presentations. Due to COVID restrictions these conferences are held virtually unless otherwise noted.

Training Site Conferences
In addition to the Department of Neurosurgery's Grand Rounds conferences, conferences are organized specifically within the individual affiliated hospitals. Conferences with their given hospitals include:
- Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center - Teaching Rounds (every Monday), Epilepsy Center Surgical Conference (every Tuesday), Vascular Conference (every Tuesday), Tumor Board (second and fourth Thursday), Spine Teaching Conference (first and third Thursday)
- Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center - Clinical Neurosurgery Conference (second Friday)
- MD Anderson Cancer Center - Neurosurgical Tumor Board Multi-Disciplinary Conference (every Thursday)
- Texas Children's Hospital - Neuro-Oncology Tumor Board Disciplinary Conference (every Wednesday)
Annual Lectureships
Our residency program is enriched by didactic teaching from the program’s distinguished faculty at Baylor College of Medicine and MD Anderson Cancer Center.
In addition, the department frequently hosts visiting neurosurgeons from other prominent programs in the United States and around the world through our annual lectureships.
