Analyzer Services

We offer technician-assisted Cell Analysis. This service is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Request an assisted analysis appointment.

Add yourself to the Basic Analyzer Course training notification list by filling out this form. You will receive all future course invites.

This training will enable 24/7 unassisted access for internal BCM users and 8am-6pm M-F unassisted access for external users. It is pre-requisite to spectral analyzer and any sorter training in the core.

Consultation

Consultation regarding experimental design, panel design, and data analysis is available. Sign up for a consultation here.

Tubes Used For Analysis

Only BD polystyrene FACS tubes.

The BD tubes below work on all cytometers here in the CCSC and are available for purchase:

  • 352052 (5 mL tubes with no lid). $12.50/pack of 125 tubes
  • 352054 (5 mL tubes with lids). $15/pack of 125 tubes
  • 352235 (5 mL filter-cap tubes). $25/pack of 25 tubes

FACSDiscover A8 Cell Analyzer with SpectralFX and CellView Image Technology (T109)

  • Benchtop Spectral and Imaging cytometer
  • 349 (UV), 405 (Violet), 488 (Blue), 561 (Yellow green), 637 (red) nm lasers, and 488 (Blue) nm Imaging configuration
  • Total of 78 colors plus 3 Imaging channels
  • Advance spectral flow cytometry and real-time imaging in one seamless workflow
  • Dual-Mode flexibility (high-speed or imaging)
  • Integrated Autoloader (plate reader and automated tube rack loader)

Aurora (T109)

  • Benchtop spectral cytometer
  • 355 (UV), 407 (Violet), 488 (Blue), 561 (Yellow-Green), and 635 (Red) nm
  • High Throughput Sample Option (with the ability to run 96 well plates)
  • Total of 64 colors plus Forward Scatter and Side Scatter
  • Option to subtract autofluorescence

FACSymphony (T103)

This instrument can detect 30+ different markers of interest on a single cell, allowing a more in-depth look at the tumor environment, signal transduction pathways (Phosflow), transcriptional nodes, tetramer applications, cell differentiation, cell division, effector function, and cell death.

  • Benchtop cytometer
  • 355 (UV), 407 (Violet), 488 (Blue), 561 (Yellow-Green), and 635 (Red) nm lasers
  • High Throughput Sample Option (with the ability to run 96 well plates)
  • Total of 29 colors plus Forward Scatter and Side Scatter

Helios, Hyperion, CyTOFXT, and HyperionXTi (T219)

Different from the traditional fluorescence based cytometer, the Helios uses metals-tagged antibodies to label markers of interest in cells. The high purity and choice of metal isotopes provide minimal background noise from signal overlap or endogenous cellular components, plus 135 available detection channels ensure an ongoing ability to add more parameters, enabling you to fully study the functional complexity of biological systems at the single-cell level.

  • The Hyperion Imaging System allows for simultaneous interrogation of 4-37 protein markers using a plate platform so that adherent cells can be imaged and analyzed without processing them into single cell suspension.
  • 135 possible detectors with 40+ metal isotopes available for tagging

Cytek ImageStreamX Mark II (T109)

This instrument produces multiple high-resolution images of every cell directly in flow, including brightfield and darkfield (SSC), and up to 10 fluorescent markers with sensitivity exceeding conventional flow cytometers. Resolution options of 20X, 40X, and 60X.

  • Benchtop Image Scanning cytometer
  • 405 (Violet), 488 (Blue), 561 (Yellow-Green), and 642 (Red) nm lasers
  • Total of 10 colors plus Side Scatter and Brightfield

LSRII (T103)

  • Benchtop cytometer
  • 355 (UV), 407 (Violet), 488 (Blue), 561 (Yellow-Green), and 635 (Red) nm lasers
  • High Throughput Sample Option (with the ability to run 96 well plates)
  • Total of 16 colors plus Forward Scatter and Side Scatter

LSRII (M902)

  • Benchtop cytometer
