Benefits for Investigators and Collaboration
Behaviors of children, youth, and adults are observed and recorded in the Eating Behavior Lab. The lab features two observation rooms that are connected to a control room. As needed, the observation rooms can feature child oriented artwork and murals as well as developmentally appropriate tables and chairs (e.g., highchairs for infants and toddlers, and shorter furniture for preschoolers) and can be set up to mimic a home living room.
The observation rooms are also equipped with remote-controlled cameras and microphones, which are directly connected to the control room. The control room adjacently located between the two observation rooms features recording hardware and software including: cameras, microphones, desktop computers, and recording systems.
