About Our Program
The Baylor Medicine Airway Disease Program provides comprehensive services for all patients with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Our physicians offer the full spectrum of conventional and advanced therapies for patients with asthma and COPD through compassionate patient-centered care, education, and self-empowerment. We partner with allergy and immunology, otolaryngology, interventional pulmonology, and thoracic surgery experts to ensure you have a treatment plan that considers all aspects of your condition.
Our physicians are thought leaders in airway disease and have been recognized by the American Lung Association, the American Thoracic Society, and the American College of Chest Physicians.

- Detailed assessment and state-of-the-art management of severe asthma and COPD
- Assessment and referral for management of comorbidities that complicate airway disease, including sleep disorders, gastroesophageal reflux disease, vocal cord dysfunction, and upper airway diseases
- Assessment and referral for advanced treatments, including bronchial thermoplasty, bronchoscopic or surgical lung volume reduction, and lung transplantation
- On-site pulmonary function testing, lab testing, and advanced diagnostic imaging

Research Opportunities
In addition to receiving leading care, interested and qualifying patients can access clinical trials and studies. We are a site of the American Lung Association’s Airways Clinical Research Centers, a national clinical studies network dedicated to improving the experience of patients living with chronic lung disease. Our studies are funded by the National Institutes of Health, the American Lung Association, and industry.
