Brow Lift / Forehead Lift

Surgical procedure that involves elevating the eyebrow and forehead to repair drooping eyebrows. Brow lifts or forehead lifts can be performed using several different techniques.

Endoscopic brow and forehead lifts are performed via small incisions in the scalp while direct brow lifts are performed via incisions above the brow. For most patients, the recovery time will not exceed ten days.

Midface Lift

Midface lifts help correct the sagging of the cheeks and midface that occurs with aging and improve the nasolabial folds (folds from the nose to the outside of the lips). Portions of the cheeks and midface are resituated to give the appearance of fuller, higher cheekbones and provide a smooth contour between the eyelid and cheeks.

Chemical Peels

The chemical peel process involves resurfacing of the skin with an acid solution that peels the top layers and allows smoother, regenerated skin to emerge; it is an effective treatment for wrinkles caused by sun damage, mild scarring, and certain types of acne.

Trichloroacetic peel is the most common facial peel, with pain being minimal during the healing process. TCA peels greatly improve the aging changes including irregular pigmentation, aging spots and fine wrinkles. Depending on the strength of the peel, patients can usually start wearing make-up after one to two weeks.

Botox is sterile, purified protein produced from the bacteria, Clostridium botulinum. When injected in facial muscles in small amounts, Botox binds nerve endings supplying the muscle and prevents nerve impulses from traveling to the muscle, temporarily reducing or eliminating wrinkles in the injected area.

Areas of the face typically treated are the forehead, between the eyebrows (frown lines), the outer eyelid area (crow's feet), and the upper lip. The effects take three to five days to appear and can last up to four months.

Botox injections can be given in the physician's office, and patients can return to their daily activities immediately. Botox injections have proven to be the best and most popular cosmetic treatment for wrinkles.

Wrinkle Fillers and Soft Tissue Augmentation

Fillers can be used to reduce the appearance of depressed scars, provide fullness to lips, and smooth deep wrinkles and facial creases. The fillers are injected with a small needle and can be given in a physician's office. The effects are apparent immediately and depending on the specific filler used, can be temporary (lasting 3-12 months) or permanent. Although there will be some swelling, patients can return to their daily activities immediately.
