The Section of Rheumatology in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine integrates state-of-the-art clinical care in rheumatologic diseases with cutting-edge research into the underlying immune-mediated mechanisms.

Pediatric Rheumatology Service

  • Specializes in the diagnosis and treatment for pediatric patients with rheumatic diseases.
  • Treats diseases such as juvenile arthritis, JDMS, SLE, Sjögren's syndrome, scleroderma, Kawasaki disease, systemic vasculitides, acute rheumatic fever, pain amplification syndromes, skeletal abnormalities, and auto-inflammatory disorders.
  • Provides an ACGME-accredited fellowship program.
  • Maintains clinical and basic science research in pediatric rheumatology.
