This one-year United Council of Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS) accredited fellowship focuses specifically on pediatric headache, including inpatient and outpatient headache management. Outpatient adult headache experience with a UCNS certified adult headache specialist is also incorporated into the program, in addition to elective rotations with adult neurology.

Fellows will mainly rotate with TCH Pediatric headache specialists, learning and assimilating various outpatient clinic procedures for pediatric headache management. They will also be exposed to the essentials of inpatient headache management. Other rotations include time with Psychology, Neuro-ophthalmology, Neuroradiology, Physical Therapy, and Pain Management services. Fellows are able to tailor elective rotations to their own interests.

The fellowship is structured as block rotations, switching on a monthly basis. Fellows also attend weekly pediatric headache continuity clinic throughout the duration of the fellowship, in addition to adult headache continuity clinic for half of the year.

Opportunities for research are offered and encouraged. Fellows also have protected time for their own education, in addition to the opportunity to be involved in resident education.
