We are proud to offer a comprehensive training program for those interested in academic medicine and private or community practice. We offer extensive exposure to all pathology subspecialties to help residents choose the career path that is right for them. We also provide the clinical expertise to allow confident practice in all areas of pathology.
Fellowship Outcomes for Graduating Residents
The majority of our residents find fellowships within the Texas Medical Center (TMC) in Houston, Texas, with institutions such as MD Anderson, Houston Methodist, and University of Texas that are within walking distance of each other. Approximately half of our residents chose to stay at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) for at least one fellowship, while others pursue competitive fellowship programs at institutions elsewhere in Texas or across the country, including Yale New Haven Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and University of California. All of our residents complete at least one fellowship, and one-third finish a second. See the full list of fellowships our residents have pursued:

Career Outcomes for Graduating Residents
We are delighted to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduate residents. Over the years, they have contributed extensively to our Baylor community and we are thrilled to see where their careers have taken them across the country. Over half of our residents’ first jobs take place in Texas, several at the TMC institutions, while the remaining graduates are distributed across various states throughout the United States. A small number of graduates pursue their first jobs internationally, including in Canada and Saudi Arabia. Our graduates enjoy careers in academics and in private and community practice.
