Submit Applications by Sep. 24, 2025

All graduates of U.S.-accredited medical or osteopathic schools and ECFMG-approved foreign medical schools are invited to apply to our residency program. Applications are accepted only through the ResidencyCAS Application Service. Applicants may begin applying as soon as ResidencyCAS opens, generally in September.

Our deadline for submission of all required application documents is Sep. 24, 2025.

Baylor College of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology does not discriminate on the basis of race or nationality.

Required Application Documents (All Residency Applicants)

  • ResidencyCAS Application
  • Medical School Transcript
  • Medical Student Performance Evaluation
  • USMLE and/or COMLEX Transcript(s)
  • Letters of Recommendation (minimum of three; at least one from Ob/Gyn faculty)
  • Personal Statement

The program is open to U.S. citizens, permanent U.S. immigrants and international applicants as follows:

Graduates of medical schools in the United States and Canada

Graduates of medical schools outside the United States and Canada who meet one of the following qualifications.

  1. Have a currently valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
  2. Have successfully completed a Fifth Pathway program provided by an LCME-accredited medical school.

Additional documentation requirements may be found on the BCM Graduate Medical Education web page. Applicants who are not ECFMG certified at the time their application is submitted will not be considered for interview. Multiple attempts at passing USMLE will reduce the applicants’ chance of being offered an interview. Prior clinical experience is not required.

International Medical Graduates

All international medical graduates must be ECFMG-certified at the time of application to be considered for an interview. No U.S. clinical experience is required.

Please note: Visa sponsorship is considered on a case-by-case basis and is neither implied nor guaranteed. Should we consider visa sponsorship, we will only sponsor J-1 visas.

2025 Interview Dates

  • Nov. 5
  • Nov. 19
  • Dec. 3
  • Dec. 17
  • Jan. 7

Thanks for your interest in the BCM OB/GYN Residency Program. Applicants will be contacted via ResidencyCAS if selected for an interview. Interview dates and times are granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Approximately 25 applicants are scheduled to interview per day during our half-day sessions. Interview dates fill quickly, so please apply early. All interviews will be virtual.

The following is information about interview season communication. Communication around your interest in interviewing with our program (via personal email or through faculty mentors) outside of your signal will be reviewed, time permitting. Please do not send multiple emails.

Second-look opportunity information is pending. We do not permit on-campus tours. We will not proactively reach out to you concerning our rank list and, time permitting, will respond to post-interview communication that you initiated.

Benefits

Maintaining your physical and emotional wellness is a prerequisite to professional success. Our residents have access to a number of programs to support their well-being. View wellness resources.

Information about vacation and leave of absences is available on the graduate medical education website.
